Chamo and Abaya Lakes

These two lakes are Great Rift Valley Lakes situated in Southern Ethiopia. The two lakes are enclosed by savannah grasslands and Opaque Mountain crests. From the town of Arba Minch on the crumple of land that divides Abaya and Chamo there are superior views of the landscape all around including both lakes with Nech Sar on the eastern side and, to the west of the mountains.
